Tips for You to Choose Your Own Sunglasses

As to girls, they just like to go out and enjoy the summer time. As to boys, they like to do some intensive sports such as motorcycle, swimming or bicycling. You may have a collection of different sunglasses which are suitable for different activates. However, do you know how to choose sunglasses?

Different colored sunglasses are designed for different outdoor activities. Take gray sunglasses for example. The sunglasses with gray color will let you see the color of real things with a little difference, but brown and copper-colored lenses will enhance the contrast between objects and background. Additionally, yellow, amber, orange and the red lenses all have good effects in improving contrast.

It is known that the UV ray is harmful to our fragile eyes, which may cause the cataracts and other eye disasters. So please make sure that your sunglasses can prevent you from 100% of UV rays. The color of lenses has nothing to do with the ability of UV protection. However, yellow and dark gray lenses can have the same percentage of UV protection.

Apart from UV rays, HEV (high-energy visible) radiation is another ray that we should pay much attention and try to be isolated. It is said that the polarized copper-colored lenses provide a good vision, it can also reduce the glare and the color and can enhance the contrast between golf ball and the green grass. So there are many young players who wear this kind of sunglasses during the competitions.

Except for color and UV protection, a number of people prefer to choose sunglasses according to its materials. As we all know that photochromic lenses will lighten and darken automatically depending on the light condition. Polarized lenses will filters and block light selectively, then it can reduces the glare from water, snow and sand.

Frankly speaking, it is necessary for the people to prepare two pairs of sunglasses. The yellow or amber pair of eyeglasses is good for the overcast conditions and the medium or dark brown pair is suitable for the sunny days.

How Choose the right sunglasses

Before Nicole Richie there was Jackie O. The First Lady of Style was single handedly responsible for making over-sized, bug-style sunglasses iconic. It's rumoured that she had the shades designed to shut out the paparazzi that followed her every move. The iconic black and tortoiseshell frames she favoured have been copied over and over again. Every woman needs a pair in her wardrobe – the key is finding the right style for your face shape. Here's how to make like a Kennedy.

Heart Shaped Face: Opt for frames that are wider at the bottom to add width to the lower half of your face. Super-large styles work well on a Heart but you should avoid square shapes that sit too high.Advertisement: Story continues below

Square Shaped Face: This Square suits the classic Jackie O style – round and oval – that counteract the angular lines of your face shape. Steer clear of frames with hard, boxy lines. Gradient lenses (dark to light) look great too because they help soften the face.

Round Shapes Face: Minimise fuller cheeks with frames that elongate your face. The Round can wear sharper, more angular styles with a square, almost oblong top. This face shape also looks fantastic in cat-eye or upswept lenses. Think a little more Audrey than Jackie.

Oval Shaped Face: The symmetrical proportions of an Oval mean you can pretty much wear whatever style you like but choose a style where the arm of the sunglasses connects with the top of the frame. This will help keep your whole look balanced.
